Right, so I was going to post on this a while ago, but, well, it is finals week. I am not entirely sure what the logic behind having finals week right after a two-week break is... but, meh. So far the reports are done and the tests have been pretty easy. Regretfully that means I have been pretty busy too. So, I will make this brief. Akiba was fun, as stated in the prior post (although I forgot to mention the slightly mentally scaring parts, but I'll spare you). We also hit up a few other areas of the town, including a major temple district that was packed full of people, the Tokyo tower... which I had the pleasure of taking the stairs up, Shinjuku, and a few other places. It was a great trip over all. Nara, also, was quite fun. I was able to see the largest Buddha in the world. There was also a lot of very passive deer. Kyoto was a pretty hectic and disorganized trip, but still fun regardless. I was also able to pick up a few Japanese scrolls for $5 a piece when they normally go for $50 - $100+ around here. Yes, I have pictures, no I don't have them to share now. I'm still looking for a way to grab them off of my phone... But yes, that last week was an absolute blast, and it was fun hanging out with some friends of mine from my college back in the US who had come to visit. Luckily I have only two more exams left this week and a single paper, which I've already written. After that, I've got all the time in the world!
