After nearly 10 months in Japan, I will be returning home to the United States in less than 20 hours now. It has been both a long year and a short year. One thing is certainly for sure though: it has been a heck of a good year. Saying goodbye to my many new-found friends and my host-family may not be entirely easy, but the experiences I've had living here will certainly last a lifetime, I have no doubt.

To those of you that I've met over this last year, you have all colored my life - and in good ways at that. It certainly has been a pleasure knowing you all, and I do hope that we can keep in touch. I didn't get to know all of you half as well as I would have liked, but I knew enough to know that the group at KGU was a great one. I wish all of you the best in the future and that we may meet again. Keep in touch, certainly.

Now, I prepare to have my last meal with my host-family and to think back over this last year and what it has meant to my life.

One last night to go.
