While it actually surprises me, I found myself making a new purchase recently. These are a spiffy (and nice) pair of headphones that seem to go along quite well with my new MP3 (well, PMP) player. I am actually quite happy with the purchase. I've been using poor quality ear-buds for a while that... well, don't do the music justice and hurt my ears. Of course, that's not just in the fact that they're uncomfortable, but rather that they blocked out sound... not at all. Which meant anytime I was outside (in the middle of a huge city), I couldn't hear anything over the noise of cars, trains, etc... Thus I would turn the volume up a bit higher than I should. Plus these are also nicer to those around me, as they keep the sound in. So, they're healthier, they look slick, I can hear music while outside, and they sound fantastic. I'm content.

Of late I've been scouring over a few projects/games that have been coming up that I'm interested in. Well, okay, I'm generally always doing this. However, I'd like to take a bit of time to examine exactly why these projects have been interesting to me and what sort of impact they will have on their communities, and potentially the future of the industry. To begin with, I'd like to take a look at EA Mythic's Warhammer Online.

Well, everything that needs to be on the site is on the site. The aesthetics of it are all set up to my satisfaction as well, and really, there's no more work left to be done in prepping this thing for the internet. Of course, I still can't get the domain and hosting quite yet either. That should be able to change in the near future though.

Well, I've had a few days to settle in now so I figured it was time for another entry. Well, honestly it was time for another one a few days ago, but the last few days have been pretty busy. I'm on campus for 4 hours in class, then another hour for lunch, and its an hour commute both ways. This takes up some time. However, the real issue has been the orientation sessions that happen after class mixed with the large amounts of Japanese vocabulary memorization each night.

I have no idea why I didn't post this up before. However, as a note, I have a new column on the WarCry Network again - this one being published on the Hub Site, which makes me giddy, and exited and such. Just keep a watch out for the Community Column every other Wednesday.
